How can Europe turn its renovation ambitions into reality? The latest EU Peers policy recommendations outline the key actions needed to strengthen One-Stop Shops and create effective national renovation support systems.
South East Energy Agency successfully hosted the Joint National Conference 2026, delivered under the European Union-funded projects EU PEERS, SCEPA, and DeCarb Pro. Held under the theme: “From Recast to Real Impact: Delivering the EPBD Recast to Tackle Energy Poverty and Reach Climate Neutrality”, the conference brought together policymakers, local authorities, European partners, One-Stop Shop representatives, researchers, and practitioners from across Ireland and Europe to explore the practical implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) Recast and the role of integrated renovation services in supporting a fair and inclusive energy transition.
On 25 June, Hungarian one-stop shop (OSS) advisors and supporting organisations gathered for the tenth time at a meeting organised by Energiaklub Climate Policy Institute. Building on practical experience from across the sector, participants collected, reviewed and discussed a set of proposals aimed at supporting the nationwide expansion of one-stop shop services in Hungary.
The twelfth meeting of the EU Peers community in Spain focused on how Renovation Agents and One-Stop Shops (OSS) address challenges within the National Building Renovation Plan (NBRP).
The 9th Meeting of the Spanish EU Peers Community, held on November 26, 2025, focused on guaranteeing quality and maintaining afterwork follow-up in the building renovation process.
The 8th meeting of the EU Peers Spanish community took place on November 3, focusing on strategies for financing residential renovation. The event featured expert presentations and discussions on various financial instruments and the challenges of implementing them.
At the end of June 2026, the EU Peers consortium partners met in Besançon (France) for the final project meeting. It was time to look back at the last three years of the EU Peers community building, celebrate the successes, and think of what could be done better because… EU Peers continues! From September 2026 until August 2029, the renewed consortium, covering more EU countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, Germany) will support our community of One-Stop Shops and make it grow.
