EU Peers continues! Building on a strong network with valuable knowledge and experience, EU Peers II has begun: new partners join, the number of national platforms doubles from six to twelve, and the Community creates more opportunities to learn from each other and to turn exchange into action. The course was set in Netzeband, where the new consortium met for its first in-person meeting at the beginning of October.

Three years of building a Community

From September 2026 until August 2029, EU Peers II brings together a renewed consortium of project partners and an even wider European network. The Community will expand from six to twelve national platforms, with a transnational platform connecting them, and reach out to additional countries in Central and Eastern Europe. New partners join the project, while many of the organisations involved in the first phase continue the journey.

The first step was taken on the 8th and 9th of October, when the new consortium met at Kemperhof in Netzeband, near Berlin, for its first in-person meeting. In workshops, joint discussions and a Walk & Talk through the German countryside, the new consortium found its way into one team – and straight into the work ahead.

The aim is simple: to make the Community bigger, more diverse and even more useful for those working to develop and strengthen One-Stop Shops.

And there is a lot planned for the next three years

EU Peers II will create more opportunities for practitioners to learn from each other through peer exchanges, thematic working groups, training and practical tools. We will support the replication of promising OSS approaches, help emerging initiatives connect with more experienced ones, and bring together practitioners, public authorities, financial institutions and other stakeholders. At the same time, the project will look at how the implementation of the revised European energy and building legislation is shaping the conditions for OSS, and work with stakeholders to identify what can help them develop and scale.

The first phase gave us a strong network, practical experience and a growing body of knowledge on One-Stop Shops. Now it is time to put that basis to work, bring more people into the Community and turn more of the exchange into action.
