On 6 May 2026, the EU Peers project participated in the Clean Energy Transition Investment Forum 2026 (CETIF 2026) in Brussels, an important European event dedicated to sharing practical solutions for financing and accelerating the clean energy transition.

Organised by CINEA in collaboration with the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition and the EU Covenant of Mayors, CETIF 2026 brought together practitioners, public authorities, businesses, and financial actors to exchange experiences and discuss concrete approaches to support energy renovation across Europe.

Within this framework, EU Peers was selected and presented as a best practice in the strand dedicated to facilitation structures, highlighting the growing importance of One-Stop Shops (OSS) in supporting home energy renovation.

During the presentation, EU Peers showcased its role in strengthening the European Community of practice around One-Stop Shops for residential renovation. A key message highlighted throughout the discussion was that there is no single definition of a One-Stop Shop. Across Europe, OSS structures operate with different models, governance systems, scales, and service approaches. What unites them is the common objective of supporting citizens throughout the renovation journey by providing integrated and accessible services. And where these actors can find their peers, is the Community of practice of EU Peers.

The EU Peers Community is growing, with more than 600 members it almost reached the project target, and it embraces this diversity by remaining open not only to established One-Stop Shops, but also to stakeholders cooperating with OSS initiatives or playing a significant role in the renovation ecosystem. This inclusive approach enables broader collaboration and facilitates knowledge exchange among actors working at different levels of the renovation value chain.

Another important aspect presented at CETIF, was the mission of the EU Peers Community: to learn, share, showcase, and advocate. Along these four categories, concrete results and gained insights have been presented. Beyond fostering peer exchange and mutual learning, the initiative aims to increase the visibility and recognition of the OSS movement at European level, helping demonstrate the strategic role these structures can play in accelerating energy renovation, and supporting the clean energy transition.

The forum also provided an opportunity to announce the continuation of the initiative through EU Peers 2, the follow-up project starting in September 2026. The new phase will further expand the Community - particularly toward Central and Eastern European countries -, strengthening cooperation and extending the exchange of experiences across a wider geographical area.
