3 sessions on quality in renovation works (Filao Labs)
About quality reference frameworks and control matrices, low energy consumption buildings, and how quality of work and data supports bank financing of renovation.
The EU Peers Learning Labs are a series of practitioner-led online workshops, each consisting of two to three sessions on a specific topic relevant to One-Stop Shop development. Each lab combines expert input with structured peer exchange, and the resulting reports are available below.
This EU Peers Learning Lab was led by Filao Labs, held online in three sessions in June and July 2025. It covered quality reference frameworks and control matrices, low energy consumption buildings, and how quality of work and data supports bank financing of renovation.
The aim of this learning lab was to share and disseminate best practices for more quality in renovation projects, as well as limitations on this issue. Discussions focused on the financial consequences of non-quality and on access to finance, particularly from banks. The learning lab also sought to initiate an EU-wide consideration of how to implement standard elements of a common quality control reference system, with the aim of opening the door to a transnational working group on this subject that brings together public authorities and other stakeholders.
Format: 3 sessions, online
