The French Community of Practice is based on the know-how of over ten years of third-party financing companies, pioneers in the one-stop-shop approach. The Community is also leveraging on a French project aiming at creating an Energy Renovation Bank (FIDEO), which involves creating a shared digital platform for the overall management of deep renovation projects: technical, loans and subsidies. This project is gradually bringing together most of the national players, permitting to create a positive dynamic towards the EU Peers network.

The manager of the French Community platform is Sébastien Descours, from Filao Labs.

In June 2025, the Sportello Energia Piemonte launched a new digital communication campaign aimed at increasing public awareness of energy efficiency, sustainability, and the services available through the regional energy helpdesk. Running through to fall 2025, the campaign takes a modern, engaging approach through the use of short, accessible video content distributed on institutional social media channels and as targeted web advertisements.
On 9 July 2025 took place with great participation the webinar "From the Directive to the implementation: recommendations for the implementation of One-stop shop for energy renovation", organised by ENEA and Regione Piemonte, within the Italian community of EU Peers.
Despite the undeniable benefits of deep home renovations—lower emissions, better health, improved comfort—the pace of adoption remains far too slow. Financial barriers, lack of trust, and fragmented governance continue to hinder progress. The recent EU Peers policy paper sheds light on how to turn this around: by promoting innovative financing, leveraging Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS), and establishing supportive policy frameworks that make renovations accessible and impactful. These recommendations form a practical and scalable strategy to turn energy efficiency into the new norm—across all income levels and housing types.
