We would like to call your attention to a call for proposals for EU action grants in the field of Clean Energy Transition under the LIFE Programme:

One-Stop-Shops - Integrated services for clean energy transition in buildings and businesses (LIFE-2024-CET-OSS)

This is an exciting call for the creation or replication of One-Stop-Shops, proposing integrated services for clean energy transition in buildings and businesses.

Projects are expected to focus:

  • either on the energy efficient renovation of single or multi-family buildings in the private residential sector
  • or the energy performance improvement of buildings owned by private professional entities (housing companies, housing cooperatives, real-estate investors etc.), with a core focus on rental housing.

Deadline: 19 September 2024, 17:00 Brussels time

Who should apply?

Everyone who wants to increase the number of ambitious building renovations across the EU!

Eligible applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must, however

− be legal entities (public or private bodies)

− be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.: EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))

− listed EEA countries and countries associated to the LIFE Programme: Iceland, Moldova, Ukraine, North Macedonia

International organisations are also eligible.

Eleven EU Peers consortium partners are teaming up with eleven, freshly appointed, EU Peers Advisory Board members. Their mission is a bit more complex than playing a football match and will last longer than 90 minutes. They are putting their heads together to help EU Peers strengthen the Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) movement.
It has been 22 years since the first Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) came into force. Two decades in which climate change has gone from being an abstract concept on panels of experts to something as tangible as sweat in March due to 35ºC, knee-deep water in the living room after torrential rains to pay 10€ for a litre of olive oil produced in an ever-dry countryside. Also, in the last twenty years, climate change and sustainability in general have gained space in the public and political agenda.
EU Peers has brought together diverse stakeholders from across Italy, engaging them in discussions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the one-stop shop (OSS) concept supporting home energy renovation. Four key meetings, organised by the Italian Community platform of EU Peers during the first half of 2024, provided invaluable insights into the challenges, successes, and future directions of the platform. These meetings, hosted by Regione Piemonte and ENEA (the National Energy Agency) highlighted both the potential and the complexities of establishing and sustaining OSSs across Italy.
