The EU LIFE programme has played a key role in advancing One-Stop Shops (OSS) across Europe, contributing to turn a fragmented landscape of renovation advice into structured, user-oriented services. Earlier calls have supported the emergence of OSS models focused on information provision, coordination, and market activation. With the newly published LIFE-2026-CET call, and in particular the topic LIFE-2026-CET-OSS, the European Commission takes a decisive step forward: shifting expectations from basic advisory services to fully operational, end-to-end solutions that actively drive renovation and clean energy investments.

The LIFE-2026-CET-OSS topic focuses on establishing or scaling integrated OSS services that support the clean energy transition in private buildings. These services are expected to accompany users throughout the entire “customer journey” - from technical assessment and renovation design to contractor selection, financing facilitation, and quality assurance of works. Importantly, proposals must go beyond generic information provision and demonstrate real operational capacity, including pilot activities that trigger concrete investments.

From a practical perspective, the call follows the broader rules of the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme. Projects are funded as Coordination and Support Actions, with a high co-financing rate of up to 95% of eligible costs

The deadline for the submission of full proposals of all Clean Energy Transition calls is 16 September 2026. For the OSS-specific call, applicants can submit proposals either as a single entity or in a consortium from a single eligible country. Feel free to get in touch with your colleagues here at EU Peers!

The EU contribution is in the range of 1.5 Mio max. Priority is given to proposals that demonstrate innovative approaches and/or that address regions where the OSS approach remains underdeveloped. Make use of the LIFE Info days on 28-30 April 2026 and the recordings of the sessions to get informed and be best prepared for your proposal!
