Throughout Europe, one-stop shops offer their services for home energy renovation, committed to make the complex renovation process simple, tailor-made and accessible to all homeowners. A lot of efforts have been done to establish, improve, replicate and support this concept across Europe. A lot of publicly available resources give insights into these efforts. The untapped potential for further knowledge is huge, let's make use of it!

EU Peers has recently developed a Knowledge Hub, a platform gathering valuable results and knowledge from various projects or contexts, including EU Peers’ outcomes and results. The Hub serves as an easily consultable archive of useful information for the development of IHRS (Integrated Home Renovation Services) across Europe.

Purpose and structure of the Knowledge Hub

This Hub is a unique space where we collect documents, videos, datasets and tools developed with the aim to support existing and future one-stop shops. The highly useful materials have been, in most cases, produced in previous or ongoing projects financed by the European Commission (e.g. Horizon, LIFE, Interreg). It transmits knowledge and experiences that have already been gained and from which others can learn.

Thanks to the online Knowledge Hub, all these materials are visible and accessible, structured in a user-friendly way. All materials are categorised, using tags indicating the language of the resources and the topical focus (e.g. financing, awareness-raising, policy recommendations).

Targeting practitioners but also policy makers

The Knowledge Hub will be appropriate both for emerging and more advanced IHRS providers across Europe. They can benefit from finding inspiration, relevant information and specific know-how to improve their services.

The Knowledge Hub is not only a resource centre for one-stop shops and other practitioners, it is also a source for stakeholders interested in the deployment of the one-stop concept. Public authorities can find information about the significance and the impact of IHRS, finding also concrete advice for supporting actions related to political, regulatory, and organisational aspects.

Share your knowledge and results through the Hub and expand your reach

Starting in Autumn 2024, the Knowledge Hub is not intended to be a static repository but an ever-growing collection, which can incorporate contributions from the EU Peers Community. If you have developed, or are aware of missing useful resources for practitioners or supporters of the one-stop shop concept, we would love to add them in the EU Peers Knowledge Hub. Contact us for this here.
