One-Stop Shops (OSS) aim to make home renovation simple and attractive. But how can they themselves draw attention to their offers in a convincing way? The theme of the EU Peers Transnational Community SPRING‘25 meeting is “OSS promotional campaigning”. We collect ideas and cool formats on how to onboard citizens and learn together what is possible (and attractive!). We will have the Energiecentrale Gent and [potentially EOS: RenovAcción] as guests, and also invite participants to share their inspirations. Bring good ones! The Transnational Community meetings are free of charge and open to anyone interested in OSS! You can also suggest topics for the next meeting, which will be voted on by the EU Peers members. Aso, we will share the latest EU Peers developments. Looking forward to meeting you!

EU Peers is launching a new series of short web-meetings where we will present one One-Stop Shop for home energy renovation and its team. Each month, in only 30 minutes, you will discover who is who in EU Peers!
Europe's green transition demands an urgent scaling up of dEEp (deep Energy Efficiency as a priority) renovations. ‍ Challenge: High upfront costs hinder widespread adoption. Solution: Shifting from traditional subsidies to blended finance models within Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS).
The Hungarian EU Peers Community, comprised of 14 active members including six one-stop shop (OSS) providers, eight OSS supporters, and three additional participating companies, is addressing the pressing challenges in Hungary’s home renovation sector. With three meetings held so far—one in person and two online—the group is focused on advancing energy-efficient renovations through collaboration, advocacy, and practical solutions.
It has been 22 years since the first Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) came into force. Two decades in which climate change has gone from being an abstract concept on panels of experts to something as tangible as sweat in March due to 35ºC, knee-deep water in the living room after torrential rains to pay 10€ for a litre of olive oil produced in an ever-dry countryside. Also, in the last twenty years, climate change and sustainability in general have gained space in the public and political agenda.
The first Baltic Platform EU Peers community meeting brought together experts, stakeholders, and project leaders from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to discuss pressing challenges and opportunities in building renovation. The online event emphasised the importance of adopting scalable and sustainable renovation practices, particularly for multi-family buildings, while fostering regional collaboration.
The Energy Agency of Plovdiv (EAP), a member of the EU Peers Community, is leading the charge for sustainable and energy-efficient housing renovations in the Plovdiv Region, Bulgaria. Through the MultiHome project and its first Residential Renovation Expo, EAP has brought together homeowners, authorities, and industry professionals to tackle challenges in housing renovation and implement innovative solutions. The Project focuses on fostering collaboration, as well as sharing expertise, and promoting advanced energy-efficient technologies.
EU Peers has brought together diverse stakeholders from across Italy, engaging them in discussions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the one-stop shop (OSS) concept supporting home energy renovation. Four key meetings, organised by the Italian Community platform of EU Peers during the first half of 2024, provided invaluable insights into the challenges, successes, and future directions of the platform. These meetings, hosted by Regione Piemonte and ENEA (the National Energy Agency) highlighted both the potential and the complexities of establishing and sustaining OSSs across Italy.
The Transnational Community platform on 26 November 2024 dedicated its Autumn meeting to the urging topic of the sustainability of one-stop shops (OSS) for energy home renovation. Focusing on the viability of an OSS after having received EU grants, the session featured key insights from Vienna’s and Valencia's OSSs.
Running until the 18th of December 2024, the 7th – and last – call for applications of the European City Facility - financed by the LIFE CET programme - offers financial and technical support to 71 local governments across the European Union, Ukraine and Iceland.
