On 9 July 2025 took place with great participation the webinar "From the Directive to the implementation: recommendations for the implementation of One-stop shop for energy renovation", organised by ENEA and Regione Piemonte, within the Italian community of EU Peers.

The event was attended by 60 participants, including Adrien Bullier, from the executive agency of European Commission CINEA, representatives of Italian One-Stop Shop (OSS) and supporters of the EU Peers network, testifying the growing interest at national level for the building renovation sector.

The agenda of the meeting was structured in two main sessions, enabling fruitful presentations and discussions in the framework of Italian territory situation and regulatory state-of-the-art, in light of recent EPBD revision (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive).

Concrete experiences, operational models, and instruments already active in the territory were shared, as well as reflections on the opportunities arising from the current regulatory environment.

During the final discussion, several key priorities emerged on which to work in future to speed up the implementation of the OSS in Italy:

  • Transparency in desks operations and in services offered to citizens.

  • Financing energy renovation, with reference to the importance of instruments such as guarantee funds and the stability over time of tax deductions.

  • Stimulation of demand, considered essential to increase the renovation rate

  • Coordination with the central government, crucial at this stage in the national transposition of the recast of the EPBD and the definition of territorial models for the implementation of the SDGs.

The Italian EU Peers community was strengthened by this opportunity to compare and share visions, and foresee how to proceed in the coming months, providing value to the directive and supporting a fair, widespread, and participating energy transition.
