Regione Piemonte promotes renewables (RES), energy efficiency and GHG emissions reduction through the implementation of a Regional Energy Plan. This has been recently endorsed by the regional council, defining targets and priorities for 2030 in order to pave the way to the energy transition to a low-carbon economy. Piemonte is responsible for the management of the Energy Performance Certificates of the buildings for the whole region and for checking the efficient use of heating boilers.
