The Hungarian EU Peers Community, coordinated by Energiaklub, brings together key players to strengthen one-stop shop (OSS) services for home energy renovations across Hungary. In one year, the community has grown to 21 members—including OSS providers for both family homes andcondominiums, NGOs, municipalities, researchers, EEOS auditors, and finance experts—representing both Budapest and rural areas. The mission is to advocate for high-quality OSS models, support their expansion, and connect stakeholders such as banks, real estate companies, and awareness-raising organisations withthe renovation ecosystem.

Members actively participate in regular online and in-person meetings, which focus on renovation subsidies, policy advocacy, and best practices. With a growing interest in grant opportunities, the community plans to tailor meetings to better serve family house and condominium OSS providers, while still fostering shared dialogue. Between sessions, collaboration continues via HumHub and email, where members share research, funding opportunities, and upcoming events.

The community plays a key role in influencing national and local policy. For example, it has contributed to the design of Budapest’s planned renovationsubsidy for condominiums and engages with ministries on key initiatives likethe Social Climate Fund. Joining the Hungarian community offers members thechance to stay informed, shape public programmes, and build meaningful partnerships that support energy-efficient renovations across the country.
