The EU Peers’ Who is Who series presents one-stop shops working on home energy renovation across Europe. Each session runs 30 minutes online.
This session features OSS Habitat, the first structured national model in North Macedonia focused on ambitious residential renovation. OSS Habitat provides homeowners and housing associations with a single entry point for energy-efficient renovation, integrating technical expertise, financial solutions, and municipal co-financing into one coordinated service.
Since launching in October 2024 under the EU LIFE Programme, OSS Habitat has informed more than 2,100 households, generated 403 initial renovation contacts, and delivered 195 integrated renovation services. In its first year, the initiative triggered over €402,000 in sustainable energy investments and contributed to an estimated 2,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions reduction annually. Three municipal partnerships are in place, 101 market actors have been identified, and 15 service providers have been trained to deliver renovation services across 10 categories.
The session will cover how the OSS Habitat model works, the impact achieved to date, and how municipalities, financial institutions, and market actors can collaborate to scale and replicate the model.
This session is open to EU PEERS consortium members. Interested in joining the community? We would be glad to welcome you — find out how to become a member.
