For more than ten years, Ekubirojs (ESEB) has been developing a comprehensive approach to renovation in Latvia, which is now extending to Europe. Their journey includes pioneering initiatives like the first one-stop shop, a digital contracting platform, and a private fund with performance guarantees.

Along the way, Ekubirojs has also learned valuable lessons and navigated misconceptions, which has informed their approach. Their work has been strengthened by useful research, contributing to legislative changes, the education of renovation professionals, and a greater understanding of the importance of ventilation in energy efficiency.

Leading up to our next EU PEERS Who is Who session, we will highlight how this Latvian organization is defining deep renovation to include health, safety, comfort, and dignity, in addition to energy savings.
