One-Stop-Shops for renovation, good practices and challenges

As part of the capacity building activities proposed by the SPARKLE project, the Peer-to-peer Programme brings together local and regional authorities to exchange practical experiences and learn from one another. The sessions cover a range of topics, from local governance and community energy to fossil-free buildings and districts, food systems and fair economies.

This session will focus on One-Stop Shops for renovation, exploring how they can support residents throughout the renovation process, from initial discussions and funding applications to the implementation of renovation works.

Amiestas, the municipal One-Stop Shop in Vilnius, Lithuania, will share its experience supporting the renovation of multi-apartment buildings, drawing on its hands-on work with apartment owners. With more than two thirds of Vilnius's multi-apartment buildings constructed before 1993, this work plays an important role in improving energy performance, residents' comfort and living conditions.

Other One-Stop Shops will also share their approaches and lessons learned, creating an opportunity to discuss common challenges, exchange practical solutions and identify practices that can be adapted to different local contexts.

Why attend? Learning from other OSS and exchanging experience and challenges.

What will we explore?

• How can One-Stop Shops overcome common barriers and make the renovation process easier for residents?
• What approaches help build trust, engage residents and support collective renovation decisions?
• What lessons can be transferred to other local contexts, and what needs to be adapted?
