This webinar, co-organised by Renovate Europe and FEDARENE's Working Group on Renovation One-Stop Shops, presents successful examples of one-stop shops from across the EU. It explores the lessons these models offer for accelerating renovation in diverse national and local contexts.
At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, rising energy costs, and growing climate pressures, the need to speed up residential building renovations has never been more urgent. Renovation is not only key to cutting energy demand and emissions but also to improving living standards and strengthening Europe's energy security.
While supportive policy frameworks, financial incentives, and regulations exist, many citizens still face significant barriers. Navigating technical options, securing funding, and managing administrative processes can be overwhelming without clear, tailored guidance.
Recent findings from the Buildings Performance Institute Europe's Healthy Buildings Barometer show strong public backing for stricter regulations to ensure buildings protect health and well-being. Yet, the survey also reveals widespread confusion among citizens about where to start and what solutions are available.
This is where regional one-stop shops make a difference. By providing integrated, localised support — from technical advice to financial and administrative assistance — they simplify the renovation process, making it more accessible and effective for homeowners and communities.
The webinar brings together representatives from energy agencies, policymakers, industry experts, and local authorities to assess how one-stop shops can better support citizens throughout their renovation journey.
