The 6th Hungarian community meeting hosted 8-10 new OSS supporters from the bank sector, from the media and NGO sector — so it was essential to introduce the new members, and outline the aims, activities and plans of the EU Peers initiative, as well as to showcase the internal platform, HumHub.
As the opportunities of IHRS in Hungary are quite different for single family homes and multi-apartment houses, the meeting was divided into three parts: the first section was dedicated to OSS providers and supporters for family houses; the second section was a common part; and the last section dealt with the different problems and opportunities for multi-apartment buildings. The project leader presented ‘EU Peers highlights’ (the upcoming cities and regions campaign, advocacy activities, the mentoring programme, and the Summit in Brussels). The new developments in the EEO system (legislative amendment, changes in energy credit prices) with an EEOS auditor were also discussed, as well as a new Hungarian communication campaign planned by some of the Hungarian EU Peers members. In addition, the event also focused on the new Budapest subsidy for panel buildings.
