This winter meeting of the EU Peers Transnational Community focused on energy poverty and the role that OSSs can play to alleviate it and support the renovation of energy-poor households.
Energy poverty in households is a prominent reality that can no longer be ignored. Energy-poor households struggle to heat or cool their homes or to pay their energy bills.
An increasing number of One-Stop Shops is tailoring their activities towards this specific target group. In this Winter meeting, participants interacted with 2 European One-Stop Shops, REVERTER and EcoVision, supporting energy-poor households in renovating their buildings and apartments.
The session started with the basics: what is energy poverty? What can be done? How? The Energy Poverty Advisory Hub kicked off the meeting and shared key insights and knowledge on the causes of energy poverty and how to fight them.
The Association ‘Stop à l’exclusion énergétique’ also contributed, helping to bring the needs of energy-poor households to the table and supporting OSSs in improving their services towards this group.
